Review applicants and move candidates toward hiring

Keep applications, stages, communication, and hiring details together.

QUICK ANSWER

Open Recruiting → Candidates and select the application. Review the record and use the available stage, communication, interview, offer, or hiring actions appropriate to your role.

Before you begin

Keep applications, stages, communication, and hiring details together. You need the relevant administrator permission. Available controls depend on your role and organization settings.

Step by step

  1. Open Candidates or the job’s applicant list. Filter to the relevant job or stage.
  2. Open an application and review the applicant’s submitted information and attachments.
  3. Update the pipeline stage and add useful notes or feedback using the available controls.
  4. When needed, use the candidate record’s communication, interview, or offer tools and confirm the recipient before sending.
  5. When the hiring decision is complete, use the hire action and review the resulting employee record and onboarding options.

Common questions and troubleshooting

  • A stage label alone is not the same as a completed hire. Verify that the employee record was created.
  • If a candidate already has a record, review possible duplicates before creating another.
  • Keep hiring decisions with authorized people and follow your organization’s process.
